This HAZWOPER 8-hour Refresher Training is designed for individuals who need to refresh their existing 24-hour or 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.

This course meets the requirements outlined in OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 for 8 (eight) hours of annual refresher training for workers involved in the transport, storage, or handling of hazardous materials or hazardous waste.[i]

Users must have completed an initial 24-hour or 40-hour HAZWOPER OSHA training. If certification has not been kept current under OSHA guidelines (each successive year after completing the initial 24-hour or 40-hour HAZWOPER), the 24-hour or 40-hour HAZWOPER should be re-taken to maintain certification.

29 CFR 1910 mandates training for employees exposed to hazardous substances, health hazards, or safety hazards. The level of training the employer must provide depends on the role the employee will play. It remains the employers’ responsibility to determine the adequate level of training mandated by the CFR.
